Hi, I'm Gereltbayasgalan
I'm a girl, 14 years old and live in Mongolia.
The family has two children, and both parents go to the Red Stone Dump Site to collect recyclable materials to earn money for food. The mother has just given birth to a baby. They used to live in a small Mongolian Ger, which was destroyed by fire, leaving them without a place to stay. They now live near the Red Stone Dump Site and managed to build a small 2x3-foot shack made of wood and planks gathered from the garbage. The house has no insulation and no electricity, making it dangerous for them to spend winter there. Their other income includes child support allowances and food stamps from the government. We visited the family for evaluation and enrolled their two children in the Family Strengthening Program.
