Wow! Sometimes I feel all alone in navigating as a birth Mom. To know that others feel this incredible pain and can completely understand, is comforting. I’m not alone. I placed my baby back in 1990. We have had an open adoption which has been wonderful, but I am still hurting and have not let my heart heal. I was 15 when I gave birth. I went back to being a teenager and stuffed all of my feelings inside. I know better to do this – as they will always arise again – it was what I had to do at the time. I do not regret my decision at all. I just need to start processing the adoption as an adult – not a 15 year old.
Thank you for sharing your story. You really made me feel that I am not alone. As I read on this website – adoption isn’t just an event. Thank you for choosing life!❤️

Thank you for telling your story; as an adoptive mother I feel that it’s an important to maintain contact with the birth family, if possible. One of my daughters has contact regularly with her birth family and the other daughter does not.I’ve met several birth mothers in my lifetime and all of them are amazing and brave
