In the communities where Holt works, a single missed meal can mark the start of a heartbreaking unraveling. When families can’t afford food, their children grow weak, fall behind in school and are sometimes placed in orphanage care just so they will be fed.
Parents feel the deepest heartache, watching their children suffer without the means to make them feel better.
But when those children receive food every day, everything starts to change. Strength returns, smiles reappear and families can stay together — hunger pangs replaced with relief, joy and gratitude for you.
