When I first started thinking about adoption, my heart has gravitated towards Korea and I have not known why. And I think it’s because we all have a gentle love for children. And after reading this I feel the ladies who foster do it so special and have the motherly hand that heals the crying hearts of little lives.

What incredible women. I actually feel more desire to meet the women who took care of me in Korea than I do my birth parents. Would love to know if more foster mothers visit the states 🙂

Our son will turn 13 this weekend, he was adopted from Korea 12 1/2 years ago. Where the years have gone I do not know. But, I have always known from the first day that our son was loved, is loved by his foster family. The families that willingly invite these babies and children into their homes, love them, care for them as though they were their own amaze me. They are each angels to me. As a mom it is apparent to me that our son was fully and completely loved, he had no bonding issues, he was and is healthy and I know it is due to the fabulous care of these ladies. The service they provide is a lifelong gift to the children and to the families. I pray for our son’s foster family each day and thank God he was a part of their family. Adoption made me a mom, I am grateful each and every day. Thank you for sharing this story.

Hi Joyce, We do have other Korean foster mothers visit every once in a while! For information about your daughter’s foster mother and if she plans to visit, you can contact Lisa Bess at lisab@holtinternational.org. Thanks!

I am wondering if other foster mothers will be coming to the states? Please let us know if our daughter’s foster mother visits. We would love to meet her and thank her personally for the wonderful care she gave her.

God Bless these two loving women who shared themselves with so many deserving children. They and their adoptive families will have the opportunity to reflect and lovingly extend the blessing.

Alice (Choi Mok Ryun) who has Down syndrome, still remembers her and talks about her almost daily.
